Setting a WHM Custom Nameserver

WHM (Web Host Manager) is cPanel's administration panel and is often used by web hosting providers for server management. If you want to set custom nameserver (custom DNS), you can follow the steps below:

Log In: Log in to WHM. You can usually access it by typing "https://server-ip-adresi:2087" into your browser. Don't forget to replace the "server-ip-address" part with your own server IP address.

Go to Nameserver Settings: In the left-hand menu, look for "DNS Functions" or a similar option. In this menu, look for an option such as "Edit DNS Zone" or "Nameserver IPs".

Select DNS Zone: If you are going to create a new DNS zone for your custom nameservers, create a new DNS zone using the "Edit DNS Zone" or similar option. If you are editing an existing region, select the relevant region.

Add Nameserver Information: Add your nameserver information in the DNS zone you created or edited. These are often referred to as "NS" records. For example:

ns1.your-domain.com. IN A 123.123.123.123
ns2.your-domain.com. IN A 124.124.124.124
The example above shows A records for two custom nameservers named ns1.your-domain.com and ns2.your-domain.com. Replace the IP addresses with your own server IP addresses.

Specify Nameserver IPs: Specify the IP addresses assigned to your custom nameservers with the "Nameserver IPs" or similar option. This can usually be found under "Basic cPanel & WHM Setup".

Complete Action: Save or confirm your changes. Usually this is done with a "Save" or "Apply Changes" button in the WHM panel.

Update Domain Records: Add the IP addresses of your new private nameservers by updating your domain name records (in your domain registrar).

Wait: DNS changes typically propagate globally within 24 to 48 hours, so it may take some time for the changes to take full effect.
