Creating Additional FTP User in cPanel

cPanel is a widely used control panel for managing web hosting accounts. You can follow the steps below to create an additional FTP user. However, the user interface may change over time, so the steps may differ slightly depending on the features in your current cPanel version.

Login to cPanel:
Open your web browser and go to your hosting provider's cPanel login address. Then log in to cPanel by entering your cPanel username and password.

Go to "FTP Accounts" or "FTP Accounts Manager":
It is usually located in the "Files" section. However, its name may vary depending on cPanel version and language. In the "Files" section, look for an option like "FTP Accounts" or "FTP Account Manager."

Create New FTP User:
On the FTP Accounts page, there is usually a button like "Add FTP Account" or "Create FTP Account." Click this button to go to the page to create a new FTP account.

Fill in the Required Information:

Log In: Specify the name with which the new FTP user will log in. For example, "user_name".
Domain: If you have more than one domain, choose which domain you want to create this FTP account for.
Password: Specify the password of the FTP user.
Quota: Optionally, you can limit the disk space this FTP user can use.
Click "Create" or "Add FTP Account" Button:
After entering the information, create the new FTP account by clicking a button such as "Create" or "Add FTP Account".

Successfully Created:
If the process is successful, cPanel will show you the new FTP user's information. Store this information securely.
